B.Arch Study
Spring 2021
This project is a museum and historical archive in Salvador, Brazil. it aimed to showcase the city’s history in its facade system, which could be seen from within the building. It is composed of a series of weathering steel panels, which would change and create new colors and forms over time, as the site is close to the ocean. They were inspired by wrought iron gateways in the region. The building form is organized according to two main ruins present in the site. The pavilions avoid them selectively, so that there would be ample opportunity to see them from within the space.
